| backtracked and after they formed a coalition and were prepared to form a government Harper hid behind the Governor General's skirt. Michaelle Jean agreed to prorogue parliament until 26 January, 2009. Harper will be hoping that the coalition disintegrates by then. The truth is that no party has come out of this at all well.
