Could Alex Rodriguez possibly return to the New York Yankees? For the second time this month, there is word that A-Rod may want to remain in the Bronx. According to the New York Daily News, there are people in Miami close to Rodriguez who are suggesting the All-Star slugger may soon approach the Yankees with apology letter in hand. But would that be enough? The Yankees are absolutely miffed over A-Rod's decision to not only opt out, but to do so before the World Series even ended. In addition, his departure also eliminated a significant amount of "income" from the Texas Rangers, who were still paying a large portion of Rodriguez's ridiculous contract. If A-Rod were to truly want to come back, he'd probably have to start by taking a pay cut -- something that has about zero chance of happening with Scott Boras as his agent.
