Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the most talented soccer players in the world (footballers for our European readers), was in Los Angeles for the 2008 ESPY awards and caused quite a stir when he said he would consider a move to LA Galaxy. “Yes, you know Beckham plays there and I spoke with him a few times and he says it’s great to play here, so maybe in the future you never know. Maybe one day, I will play here, Ronaldo told Hollyscoop, when they managed to catch up with the hottie on the red carpet. The 23-year-old Manchester United player was nominated for “Best International Male Athlete,” and showed up in Los Angeles on crutches after recently undergoing surgery on his right knee. He has been courted by Real Madrid and there is speculation that he will leave, much to the chagrin of United chief executive David Gill who has stated that Ronaldo is “not for sale at any price.” So will Galaxy be courting the soccer superstar?
