It's not because McCown's some great prize (which I'm sure you already know), it's because Culpepper is still battling all sorts of things, both mental and physical. From this morning's Sunday NFL Countdown, Chris Mortensen has the details: Daunte Culpepper can always say he had his moment in the sun against the Dolphins, but the Raiders quarterback has been struggling with mobility, decision making -- despite his scaled back playbook -- and last week he added two more fumbles to give him 87 in 88 career games. Well, let's just put it this way: if Josh McCown were healthy, he'd be playing against the Chiefs today. Top pick JaMarcus Russell isn't ready, but a small package of plays isn't out of the question in the near future.So there you have it.
