Will Ferrell to Tour with Awesome Standups

You may have heard that John C. Reilly is doing some sort of movie theater concert tour to promote Walk Hard. Well, it looks like his pal Will Ferrell is also getting in on the non-traditional movie promo bandwagon. Ferrell is going to be embarking on a comedy tour to build hype for his upcoming basketball comedy Semi-Pro: Thesp will headline seven shows over three weeks in February, teaming with leading standups Zach Galifianakis, Demetri Martin and Nick Swardson. Event, dubbed "Will Ferrell's Funny or Die Comedy Tour Presented by Semi-Pro," will kick off Feb. 4 in Kansas City and serve as a promotional run-up to the Feb. 29 release of the pic. In addition to tubthumping "Semi-Pro," event will also help hype FunnyorDie, which will have a video crew tagging along throughout the tour.Variety has more details, but so far the dates haven't been announced.
