They say it's better to win ugly than lose pretty, and while that may be true, the New York Giants 16-10 victory over the Detroit Lions Sunday afternoon sure was hard to stomach. It was one of those games where everything that could go wrong, did go wrong ... until Detroit's final offensive play that is. It began early in the first quarter when linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka broke his leg, and continued when running back Brandon Jacobs went down with a hamsting injury. In between that mess, Jeremy Shockey, Michael Strahan and Plaxico Burress all suffered a few dings of their own. Meanwhile, on the field, Jon Kitna and the Lions passing attack continued to expose the Giants secondary for what it is: swiss cheese. And although it was an interception that ultimately secured the victory for New York, Tom Coughlin cannot be happy with their performance. All that said, a win is a win.
