RFID Implants May Cause Cancer |

Boston (EON) - U.S. scientists have found that wireless identification tags which are placed beneath the skin called RFID chips can cause cancer. The RFID chips were first placed in pets. These small radio devices can have information encoded on them. This allows some aid for the animals such as dogs and cats so that they can get to their home safely if they were to ever get lost. The chips can be read by a remote sensor device and were hoped to be used in humans as well. With the RFID chips being implanted in humans, fears are raising as news has come out that these chips which have medical records on them may cause cancer. 2,000 people have had them fitted already. Many studies have found though that large amounts of tumors have shown up in mice when they were implanted with the chips.
