Miami Looking To Juice Up Orange Bowl |

Used to be that Thursday night football was the province of Mountain West teams looking to make a name for themselves on the national scene (now they play on Tuesday sometimes). Of course, it used to be that Miami was unbeatable in most aspects, especially in the Orange Bowl. But the OB itself is about to become a relic, much like Miami's claim to invincibility there. And while Miami's performance thus far under Randy Shannon hasn't been gangbusters thus far, tonight's contest against Texas A&M is a surprising "name" contest and as good a chance as any to alter public perception of the Canes.With that being said, it's still a little unusual for Miami to be basically begging their fans to make the Orange Bowl a little more inhospitable than it's decrepit trappings already do, considering what's at stake.
