Michael Strahan Contacted By New York Giants About Return |

There's no way this story is going to reach the level of the Favre fiasco - thank God - but once again we've got a "Will he return?" story brewing that actually has legs. Yesterday, thanks to Osi Umenyiora's season-ending injury, Michael Strahan released a statement saying he'd come back to the Giants for $8 million. Even though the Giants are in a tough position, it seemed completely unlikely that the Giants would even try and bring Strahan back. And it seemed even less likely after the Giants said they'd move Mathias Kiwanuka from his linebacker spot to defensive end. So, it's all over, right? Wrong. Early this morning the Giants contacted Strahan to talk about a possible return. “They want to see if there is any interest there,” Strahan's agent Tony Agnone told The Associated Press. “I have to talk to Michael.” Apparently the Giants must not feel real comfortable with Kiwanuka at defensive end.
