This is hardly the sort of thing you want to hear from a guy tasked with running a fair, unbiased election: I actually interviewed Ritchie recently while sitting in for Scott Hennen (you can download the audio of that interview here), and I was surprised to find him a rather prickly sort of partisan. During the interview I brought up the 32 ballots that had been found in an Hennepin County election official’s car and included in the recount. Ritchie immediately accused me of getting talking points from press releases, and tried to insinuate that these ballots hadn’t ever really been lost in anyone’s car. Of course, they ballots were lost in a Democrat official’s car for several days, and that a judge decided the ballots should be included anyway in no way changes that fact.
