MLB player Pedro Martinez has announced that his retirement might come sooner than most people think, he's expecting to finish this baseball season and travel to his hometown in Dominican Republic to think about his final decision. One of the major reasons why he might end his professional baseball career came with his father's cancer episode. 36 year old Martinez, who is currently pitching for the New York Mets has stated that he's resenting all the time he has been away from his family during this rough period. After a glorious career, that has brought him 3 Cy Young Awards and been included as the 15th member of the 3000 strikeout club, Martinez can actually retire at a great moment since he is going through the last MLB season of the 4-year deal that he signed with the Mets after helping the Red Sox to acquire a World Series Championship back in 2004. Well, we just hope Martinez's dad can get better real soon so he comes back from vacations after this season ends,
