Citrus Heights, California (The Weekly Vice) -- James M. Fraser, a 27 year old Citrus Heights Police officer has been arrested and charged with felony evading police and assault with a deadly weapon after leading police from another department on a high speed motorcycle chase.According to police, the chase began around 2:30 a.m. when James Fraser refused to stop for a Folsom police officer after he allegedly failed to stop for a red light. Fraser then attempted to evade police in a high speed chase that reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour and continued 41 miles beyond the point where the pursuit began.Authorities say Fraser lost control of his motorcycle on two occassions. When he lost control the second time, he again ignored officer's orders to stop and instead charged police on his motorcyle, colliding with a patrol car and running over an officer's foot.Fraser was eventually apprehended in El Dorado County, where he was arrested and booked into the Sacramento [ Full article ] |
