Official PS3 Firmware Update v 1.92 Announcement

Sony just updated its site with the specs for the PS3 version 1.92 firmware update. As with 1.90, this update is only for PS3 owners in North America. The update will cover all content in v 1.90 with a few tweaks and editions. You can now display an image as the background of XMB (XrossMediaBar). You can also use emoticons in messages to your friends. You can now use a USB keyboard to enter text directly into text entry fields of Web pages. The PS3 now supports upsampled output of audio CDs. Other new or revised features in version 1.92 (with 1.90): Settings [44.1/88.2/176.4 kHz] has been added as an option in [Audio CD Output Frequency] under [Music Settings].
