Plies Hit With $10 Million Lawsuit Over Club Shooting |

Five people who claim they suffered injuries after members of Plies' entourage opened fire at a Florida nightclub have filed a $10 million lawsuit against the rapper, his record label and the nightspot. According to The Gainesville Sun, Plies performed at the 238 West nightclub for a crowd of about 1000 people in 2006 and when the venue was about to be closed his entourage opened fire resulting in the aforementioned injuries. Plies along with four others would be arrested. The Florida bred rapper would plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a concealed weapon. The five victims are alleging negligence by Plies, his record label Slip-N-Slide and 238 West. Robert Rush, Plies' lawyer, told The Gainesville Sun Tuesday that he has not seen the lawsuit. “If they're suing [Plies], they're suing the wrong person,” said Rush. “He does not have legal liability.
