The Dark Knight was undoubtedly, the summer blockbuster, breaking records all over the place, with lots and lots of talk about Oscar nominations, including a posthumous one for Heath Ledger. Tonight, one series decided to get a little of that action for themselves, cashing in on the name, and a network decided any Batman at all would garner some interest at this point and would be good for ratings before they start airing the premieres. 1. Joe’s Apartment. A really cute movie with Jerry O’Connell where cockroaches take over his apartment and bond with him as they movie through musical numbers singing and dancing. This is from 1996, right around the time we realized he was the chubby boy from Stand By Me. 6:45 AM CT Starz 2. Adventures In Babysitting. Yet another classic 80s movie. Elizabeth Shue before she was Leaving Las Vegas. Despite the implausibility of the timing of some of this, there’s also something about it that is so real.
