Report: Michael Strahan Missing From Giants Camp; May Retire

Filed under: NY Giants, NFC East, New YorkWhen the New York Giants stormed the field for conditioning drills at 1:00 today, Michael Strahan was noticeably absent. That really came as no surprise given the recent contract demands he's been throwing around, but it's now being reported by Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger that it could be something completely different. Unfortunately, the pro bowl defensive end is considering retirement.This could just be a negotiating tool, but Strahan hinted earlier in the year that sometimes he just doesn't feel like doing it anymore. Although, he quickly backtracked and claimed he was eager to get things underway. Either way, it's a horrible tactic and even worse timing.General Manager Jerry Reese is scheduled to appear on WFAN (radio) at 3:00 pm eastern time today. I suppose we'll all have to wait until then to figure out exactly what's going on with Strahan.Update: WFAN is reporting that Tom Coughlin has tried calling Strahan to no avail. Strahan
