What is the best amount of blog posts.

I had a great discussion with a fellow blogger today and we were discussing the best number of blog posts to aim for in a week.My argument is that it's not the amount that counts, more the quality of what you are posting, although I did admit that blogs that make like 1 post every 2 months maybe aren't putting the effort or don't have enough of interest to say.I'm very new to blogging and don't get as involved as many of the other design blogs around the internet like Lauren @ Creative Curio who is a more involved blogger and writes articles which get great feedback from the readers.
